Dog Training Night
The night of perpetual treats
We three; Mike, Junebugg and I, are sharing a bonding experience every Wednesday night for five weeks. We are taking a basic dog training course at the humane society taught by our niece. Junebugg gets to have as many cut up hotdogs as it takes to perform each training element. She loves it. She loves seeing other dogs and whining to get close to them. She stays alert for the entire hour. I struggle to stay alert the entire hour. Junebugg is doing well. I admit I don’t work with her as much as I should at home, but her owner before me laid some pretty good ground work and she picks things up pretty fast. We also have a great trainer who knows what she is teaching. Junebugg watched her second cousin Kane demonstrate the moves. They haven’t been able to meet nose to nose yet. Maybe someday. I still don’t know how she acts up close with other dogs. It’s also a night of treats for Mike and I too because Culver’s is just down the road. An easy stop on the way home after training. 🍦
