I think we might be bonding
I was working on my floor loom yesterday and caught a glimpse of Junebugg’s tail by my foot. She was laying on the floor wedged in between the treadles and the beater bar. I don’t know exactly how long she had been there as I had been working for a while. She was resting between the moving mechanisms of the loom; the treadles moving up and down that provide force as I press on them with my foot to cause the lamms, that pull the shafts down, to move up and down and as a result; the shafts move up and down bringing about the act of weaving. After that comes the movement of the beater bar that I pull towards me 3 times for each throw – one soft and two very hard slams to pack the weft in. It’s a very noisy process full of movement.
I can’t, for the life of me, understand why she would want to remain in such an awkward spot but she did; until Mike came into the room with his coat on. Then she left me most likely thinking she would be going outside. Being outside is her ultimate favorite place. π
Proverbs 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Your memory is solid! We got her at the end of August-you just missed her!
